Huron Park is dedicated to producing profitable, functional cattle that perform in any environment.

The Simmental breed offers outstanding qualities that are always sort after for beef producers-fertility, tempament, weight for age , longevity and bone. Huron Park black Simmentals commenced in 2018 with the purchase of 60 stud cows from Strathleigh Black Simmentals at Attunga. We were drawn to the Black Simmental breed through our success with them in our crossbreeding operation.

Genetics That Perform Under Real Conditions

We utilise the best genetics that are available for our AI programs, our aim is to have our heifers calve at 2 and be able to raise a calf under the same conditions as our cow group any female that doesn't is culled.

In 2025 we sold the last of our commercial cows to be solely focused on seedstock production. We have since acquired some outstanding females from Woonalee and Southern Black Simmentals which should see us well placed to produce bulls that have the genetic backing of these herds as well our nucleus cows with the added benefit of being acclimated to Queensland conditions.

The Humphreys Family at Huron Park

Huron Park Black Simmentals is owned by Justin & Clare Humphreys, together with our children Grayson (25) & Lincoln (21).

Grayson works in Roma as a receptionist, and Lincoln works around on properties and also assists in the day-to-day at Huron Park (Both are called on as tech support for their struggling parents)

We are passionate about breeding good cattle and enjoy being involved with people who are on the same journey of producing the absolute best cattle we can.
